Benefits of different types of valves
A valve is a device that blocks a pipe either partially or completely to change the amount of fluid that passes through it. Valvesare the most important part of every engine, so due care must be taken in selection and maintenance of valve. Check Valves are made of plastic or metal that is installed in pipeline systems to allow flow in one direction only. The valve can be completely immersed in water for cleaning--the only parts involved for disassembly are the spring and plunger. These are mainly used for protection of any item of equipment that can be affected by reverse flow, such as flow meters, strainers and control valves. Ball valves offer very good shut-off capabilities and are handy because opening and closing the valve is as simple as turning the handle 90°.
