Sand-painting art was first created by a Vietnamese artist Y Lan at the end of 2001. All the paintings are made from natural, non-processed sand during the formation process without using any bonding chemicals.
In order to craft a perfect sand-painting work, artist Y Lan has to be extremely patient, detail-focused, and adept at using just a few simple tools like coffee spoons, glasses, and vases to control the amount of sand for each work. Every painting has its own theme depending on the size of the frame and the amount of time it takes to complete it. Some are just daily activities but others are romantic and heart-touching.
Artist Y Lan set a record in Guiness Book for the title "Person has found most sand colors in Vietnam" but she has broken her record with her 100 different colorful sands. She has now been famous for many titles such as "The beautiful Lady of Sand-painting Art", "The Lady who can bring soul to the sand", "The Lady can make sand playful" …She is the one set up the Viet Nam's natural sand map.
