Advice On How To Get A Boy Baby
I recently heard from someone who asked me for my "best advice" for couples who want to conceive a boy. I think that the person who asked me this question was expecting a one sentence answer or directive. But, to have the best chance to conceive a son, you really do have to cover all of the angles and need to address everything that could go wrong and result in your getting a baby girl instead.
People often think that the best advice for this covers things that will help you to produce a male child. And this is true. But, I have to tell you that no advice is complete or entirely accurate unless it also tells you how to avoid the things that will produce a girl baby instead. I will try to explain this more in the following article.
Be Extremely Deliberate With Your Methods And Be Very Knowledgeable About Your Exact Ovulation Day And Your Specific PH. (This Usually Means A Later Conception Day): I know from my own experience that your inclination when you first decide that you want to get pregnant is to allow the excitement of this decision to over take all else. Once this decision is made, it's not at all uncommon to want to get started and to hope to become pregnant that very month.
While this may work, it also most definitely leaves the gender of your baby to chance. If you are trying for one gender over another, then you're going to need to be very deliberate about your methods. You have to know on exactly which your ovulation takes place. You need to know your exact vaginal PH. And, you need to be able to do whatever you can to ensure that the ovulation day also coincides with when you have an optimal and alkaline reading (that is the most likely to give you a boy.)
I'm sure you did not expect a science lesson here and I'm not going to give one, but it might be informative to know why you would want to sacrifice potentially fertile days to wait until ovulation, and to take up an alkaline diet or douching schedule. The reason for this, as I alluded to before, is two fold. These regimens will both give the best chance to the sperm that produces boys and will make it tougher for the sperm that produces the girls. In a nutshell, the boy producing sperm (called Y) can not live long enough to wait and are not strong enough to meet with acidic surroundings. This is exactly why you want to give them alkaline surroundings and to ensure that they are only being introduced once your egg is waiting for them, not the other way around.
To recap, you want to know precisely when your ovulation day is. You do not want to have intercourse before this. You want to hold off until this day, have intercourse then (and for only one day after,) and then wait and see if you were successful. However, if this day comes and you find that you are too acidic, as big of a bummer as it's going to be to wait, unfortunately, waiting is your best bet. This is also true if you find yourself to be alkaline but also find out that ovulation has not happened. What you want to do here is to just eat the foods or use the douches that are going to maintain these levels and then continue to wait for ovulation.
Don't Make Guesses When You Have Access To Concrete Information: Since I've told you what you need to do to have success, I now want to tell you what not to do. The biggest error that I see happen is that people assume when they ovulate or just hope that they are right in their guesses. I can't tell you the number of people who tell me that they just assume that they ovulate midway through their cycle. This is absolutely not a given. If you were to have the luxury of time and were to use an ovulation predictor for a few months before you even tried to conceive, you might just find that the day of ovulation would either vary or would occur on a day that you might not have expected.
And, this is hugely important because as we've already established, even a 24 hour delay or early attempt can give you an entirely different result. There are many manufacturers who make ovulation predictors that can test saliva or urine. I recommend these because they keep you from having to guess and risk making a mistake. In the same way that you can test fluids to ensure accuracy, you can also test PH. Most health food stores sell these little strips that will allow you to know exactly where you fall rather than hoping or guessing.
To recap, you should use the tools available to know the answers to the questions before you even ask them. This will allow you to take this information, look at your calendar, and determine with pretty good certainty the best day for a boy (ovulation day) with the most favorable factors (an alkaline environment) to give you the result you want (a baby boy.)
