How do I desolder a wire joint?
When I use a desoldering pump it doesn't get all the solder off. It's still pretty rigid on there and the wire is looped and twisted.
You can't get all the solder off.
The wire is still going to be rigid.
Any further heat will melt the insulation.
Best thing to do is clip off the soldered part, strip off the insulation, pull in some slack and start fresh.
