Which transit level is best? CST Berger 200 or the Dewalt DW092? Both can be purchased at the same price.?
I'm looking to buy one of the two transit levels listed above. I can get them both at the same price on eBay. The Dewalt does have a higher MSRP but the CST Berger is a well known name in surveying. I want the best product for my money. I'm a big fan of Dewalt but I also am a fan of quality!
I would stick with DeWalt. We sell contractors tools and several years ago we got stuck with several David White Transits and levels when they went out of business. There was a period where we could not get any of them re-calibrated because no one would work on them. They since have sold the name to another company.
I don't see DeWalt going out of business or getting bought out by anyone. So parts and service on DeWalt would be a sure thing.
