The primary use is to nail finish trim inside and out side of a house and other type of structures that use materials that can be attached by nailing.
Typical items it is intended for are baseboards, shoe molds, door frames, chair rails, and crown molding. It permits one person to quickly nail items in place and usually countersinks the nail at the same time.
