Can I lower a 1911 ejection port myself?

I wanted to buy either a Para Ordnance GI or a Springfield Armory GI. After learning about how they were made I opted for the springer. I really like the lowerd and flared ejection port on the Para GI though, can I at least lower the port on the springer with a dremel tool?

You can, but why? I shoot a GI Colt from 1942. I have no problems at all with ejection. If it ain't broke...
