How To Stop A Bloody Nose
At some point or another you or someone you know will experience a bloody nose. Wether its an occasional nose bleed, a smack to the face, or something that happens frequently its always best to be prepared. Over the years, We have come up with several methods in our household on how to stop a bloody nose.
Method 1 Tipping your head back
Although some people might disagree with this, IT has been the only solution for my husband, who gets nose bleeds pretty frequently.
1. Place tissue securely in the nostril which is bleeding, and tilt your head back. Not to the point of laying flat, always make sure your head is above your heart! By doing this you are Helping to slow down the blood flow to your nose. I recommend checking your nose a couple times before returning your head to normal position.
Method 2 Cold rag to back of the neck
This method is my sons weapon of choice! who suffers from tons of accidents and balls hitting him in the face! Ever since he was little we have been stopping his bloody noses with the rag to the neck.
1. Get a cold rag (as cold as you can stand it) and place to the back of the neck for about 45 -60 seconds.
2. It also helps to plug up the nostril that is bleeding with a tissue to help stop the mess!
3. Check nose several times, repeating step one as needed!
Method 3 Adding pressure
1. Try applying pressure to the bridge of your nose. Pinch the bony part of your nose using your index finger and thumb. Try doing this for 3-5 min, if it still continues to bleed try pinching it for about 10 min. Remember to breath through your mouth! You don't want any added mess to clean up!
Method 4 Combining all three!
In severe cases where nothing seems to be working, trying the cold rag along with applying pressure and tipping your head back. Most importantly try to stay come or keep your child calm and relax! Stressing out can actually cause more blood flow to your nose!
If nothing seems to be helping you with clearing up your bloody nose, you may need to seek medical attention. I have shown you several ways on how to stop a bloody nose, hopefully you or someone you know will benefit from this! I always carry extra tissue anywhere I go, its best to always be prepared!

Cultural groups why do East Asians have the flat nose feature?
I'm just wondering because white people have nice pointy nose, some black have nice pointy nose, and southeast asians have nice pointy nose, but why don't east asian have the pointy nose feature?
