My wife and I recently were made aware through family members that her estranged mother had gained access to our personal financial information through ccri. She did this buy forging my wifes signature as well as her aunt's signature and somehow copying her notary seal onto the document. We've reported the leak of our information to the local police, notary's office and the school's legal department. Her aunt the notary is writing a letter to the director of the notary's in rhode island that she did not seal or have knowledge of this document. Her mother a current ri notary. I've learned from reading the notary handbook faces a 1,000 dollar fine and possible jail time for forging her sister's notary seal and signature. What does the invasion of privacy carry with it? My wife and I feel very violated that she was able to acquire this information and fear what she may do with it.
