Installing Custom Water Walls in Hotels

Custom Water Wall Installation Process

Depending on the availability of labor, one person may carry out the installation. However, some pieces in the denser granites weigh about 200 lbs., so it is definitely a good idea to have someone help you.

 

Locate the wall studs and then mark wall to mount frame – make sure the markings are horizontal and level (measuring, bubble/laser level);

Start drilling, (1/4 inch) pilot holes for lag bolts (a large screwed bolt designed to screw into wood); secure frame to wall using lag bolts

Bolt extra brackets to frame and fit flexible plastic pipe work. Lift top and bottom tanks into place,

Plug pumps into electrical outlet – make sure it a ground fault circuit interrupt (GFCI) outlet.

Lift stone backdrops into place and align by using a bubble level and straight edge.

Screwed adjusters reside behind the stone slabs.

This installation process is just to give you an idea how to install custom water walls. We recommend having a professional contractor install it for you especially for bigger or dividing water walls.

 

Maintenance

 

Some custom water walls do not require heavy maintenance except from time-to-time to change water. The design in other water walls comes with a built in system to help reduce maintenance to a minimum. However, maintenance is required to remedy some basic problems such as algae growth. Algae are the main reason for unpleasant smell. Obviously, in a hotel type setting you want to avoid this problem. Make sure your water wall can suppress algae growth.

 

Dirt - water walls are excellent deterrent of dirt by capturing dirt and pollen that promotes odor. Check your unit that it is dirt tolerant.

 

 

Water evaporation is rapid - particularly in humid environments. There are units that are auto fill for customers who do not like filling their water wall regularly. Water walls that are not auto fill may need topping up every two or three days if running for extended periods.

Lost power to electrical outlet?

Outdoor outlet on deck lost power after using radio and power tools..It's not the outlet itself, The wires feeding to outlet are dead showing 0.02 volts, Line must be the end of a series with just the 3 set of wires(black, white and ground) going into outlet box. All surrounding outlets, light and switches work showing 124v+-. Circuit breaker was not tripped, but cycled it anyways. checked several time, but No GFCI in circuit..
correction. One set of wire (1 white, 1 black and 1 ground) going into outlet box.

Trace cable back looking for any damage, if cable goes to junction box or another outlet turn power off and inspect.
