Prowess Of An Off-Grid Photovoltaic System
We all know that people in the rural areas of developing countries experience immense electricity crisis. The reason behind this is that electricity grids are largely confined to the main urban areas. It is sad to see that the rural population is deprived from basic energy services. In such a situation PV (Photovoltaic)can play a significant role. Today, it is popularly regarded as the best and least expensive. Most of the services that are lacking in the rural areas can be met through an Off-Grid Photovoltaic System.
Unless you are an amateur electrician, it is always better to get your off-grid systems installed by a professional installer. If you are still interested to create your own off-grid system, it's important to understand the basics or components listed below:
a) Solar panels are normally mounted on solar mounts or racks. Their functions include collecting sunlight and converting it into electrical energy or current.
b) The primary function of a solar charge controller is to regulate the power passing from the solar panels to the batteries. It prevents batteries from being over or under charged, thus offering long life to batteries.
c) You need to have backup generators in case ofemergencies or for days when there is no sunshine. However, they may be very noisy and polluting.
d) Invertors play a significant role in several energy systems. It is used to convert direct current (DC) energy to alternating current (AC) energy.
e) You will need batteries to store energy for future use.
f) Normal electrical wiring to the house is essential.
g) System meter can measure the amount of electricity produced by the solar panels. It can also detect howfull your battery is and the amount of electricity you are actually consuming.
PV modules can be used for various purposes ranging from water supply to irrigation or cultivation. It is even helpful for refrigeration systems, particularly to preserve blood, vaccines and other healthcare products in hospitals and clinics. In the domestic front it can assist in lighting and enabling income-producing activities from home. Living standards of the rural folks can be enhanced as they will be able to use various electronic items like TVs, radios, and other household appliances.

BMW Estate Knocking noise Track rod end?
Hi i have a BMW Touring estate, and we noticed the tracking was out on it and when corrected kept needing to be tracked again, by 3 degrees or something??...anyway, its started with a knocking noise on the passenger side front, and having numerous cars before have gathered that its not the cv joint as this makes a continuous knocking noise when turning one way....this makes a noise on one side only and is not just on turning, its more noticeable when driving slow, it started when i went over a grid the other day. A Merc mechanic i know looked at it and he thinks the ball joints are fine and nothing is loose and it could be the the track rod end (but i thought this made a loud clunking noise?) or steering rack, but itll be a process of elimination by replacing parts, which could costa fortune and take ages!!
The only way i can describe it is a dull knocking noise, that also sounds like a creaking noise you would hear on a boat?? Sounds odd i know! Any ideas???
Possible broken spring. Worn anti roll drop link. Track rod end is a ball joint. Best to take it to a garage and get them to take a look.
