How To Restore Hinges All By Yourself

You don't remove the bottom caps, you start a small screwdriver in the crack just below the upper cap and lightly tap upwards to get the hinge pin started up. Once it's up far enough you can change to a bigger screwdriver and it should move right on up and out.
