What's the best precautions to take when dealing with plastic melting?
I'm not talking about burning large amounts of plastic, I'm referring to plastic bottle caps. I'm using a hot iron to melt them together to form crafts. I do this in a big workshop with the garage door open and a fan behind me pushing the fumes outside. I also wear a respirator mask. Is there anything else I need to do to make sure I'm doing this safely?
wear protective gloves incase the plastic drips. if the iron is wired, work away from the outlet, hot plastic dripping onto a outlet thats being used=not good
