The Maglite LED Flashlight
As early as 1979, the Mag Instrument Inc. has introduced Maglite Flashlight into the market and since then it has became one of the global leading brands for flashlights. It is very famous for its premium quality, durability and stylish. As the technology advances and the dynamic consumer preferences, the company introduces or revamps its products consistent over time to remain its competitiveness; for instances, it began its line with alkaline battery flashlights and later rechargeable battery flashlights. Today, not only are they in varying sizes (e.g. 3 inches to 19 inches) and colors to suit differing consumers' needs but more efficient LEDs are introduced together with their original incandescent bulbs. Its first LED Flashlights range (‘Maglite LED') was first introduced in 2006.
Basically, the only feature that makes the ‘Maglite LED' range different from its signature Maglite range is the former uses more efficient and brighter LED rather than the yellowish incandescent bulbs. According to its product line, ‘Maglite LED' comes in 5 types of sizes ranging from 5 inches to 12 inches namely ‘Maglite LED XL50, XL100, 2-Cell D, 3-Cell D and Mini Maglite LED 2-Cell AA'. Besides that, it also comes in varying colours such as black, red, silver, blue and grey depending on the designs.
Today, many people prefer the LED flashlights over the bulbs (e.g. Krypton and Xenon bulbs) flashlights as it is energy saving, high brightness and steadier. This is because the white light produced by the LED has high colour temperature and good colour rendition making it brighter, steadier and wider light coverage than the bulbs. However, the drawback of the LED is the outputs drops rather quickly despite its module heats almost at instant.
In 2006, the Mag Instrument Inc. has also introduced ‘Maglite LED Upgrade Module' for the consumers who wishes to upgrade their traditional incandescent bulb ‘Maglite Flashlights' to ‘Maglite LED Flashlights'. Accordingly, the Maglite is simply the consumers' best choice as it allows the consumers to enjoy reliable, durable and high performance torchlight in the world of darkness.

could i put a AA mini maglite bulb into a AAA mini maglite?
i own several mini maglites (AAA and AA versions). i was wondering if i could safely place a AA krypton bulb into a mini maglite that takes AAA batteries and is supposed to take the AAA vacuum bulb.
a krypton bulb is twice as bright as a vacuum bulb so that is why i want to do this but, it could also draw more current from the AAA batteires and i was wondering if that could damage the circuitry of the flashlight?
It wouldn't cost very much to experiment.
