how do i remove the hazy film from the headlights on my ford taurus without replacing them.?
i wanna get rid of the milky film that has overtaken my headlights over the last 10yrs. how do i do this at a reasonable price?>not wanting to replace them or spend 50.00 on a headlight polishing kit.
this is a common problem caused by very small nicks and scratches in the plastic holding road grime and dirt. the best way i have found to fix this issue is to get a 3 step plastic refinishing kit from HARLEY-DAVIDSON. this kit has been by far the most effective kit for fixing this problem that i have found in the last 10 years of searching. what this kit does is after you clean the lense with a good quality plastic cleaner, you take stp one and rub it in real good. this puts an overall "scuff" on the plastic and helps to even out the scratches so the next steps can work better. it has a very gritty texture and acts almost as sandpaper. step two is similar and has a much finer grit in in. it will start to fill in scratches and smooth out the others. step 3 is a fillin that fills in the scratches and gives you a nice finish.
