High Utility Giveaways: Mugs and Tote Bags
As branding activities get more unusual and creative, promotional products, customized with a company's name and logo, are becoming increasingly popular marketing tools. Ranging from inexpensive pens and keychains to high-end perfumes and electronic goods, a range of promotional products are available, awaiting for you to customize and send. Then again, promotional giveaways that offer scope of repeat usage will leave a lasting impression on the user's mind.
Let us take a look at a couple of such high utility giveaways that will help you to reach customers effectively without stretching your marketing budget.
Custom Mugs
Custom mugs are some of the best promotional items, especially due to their multi-purpose functionality. So, whether they are used to drink coffee in or spruced up as candy holders, pen caddies or flower vases, your branding will meet the customer's eye several times in a single day. Given the durability of custom mugs, these promotional pieces will always ensure top-of-mind recall of your business.
Custom mugs are available in a range of designs, materials and colors. Bistro mugs, for example, are large in size, particularly useful for those who like their caffeine. Then again, spooner mugs are accompanied by handy stirring spoons running through their handles. Different shaped mugs offer better grip and act as unique display pieces.
Custom metal mugs originate from a class of their own while ceramic ones are simple and practical. For a funky giveaway, try a color-changing custom mug or a new-age, biodegradable one made from recycled material.
When choosing your custom mug, ensure that it has a large enough imprint area for your logo and name. Also, make certain that it is carefully packaged to avoid breakage.
Custom Tote Bags
Another type of popular promotional product is custom tote bag. It's utility in displaying large promotional print on both sides creates a big impact on customers' minds. Like custom mugs, their reusability ensures that you get priceless brand exposure for years to come. Starting from price points as low as 89¢ each, custom tote bags are budget-friendly to say the least.
The range of materials used for making custom tote bags extends from canvas to polyester to eco-friendly, organic cotton.
If your target audience consist of homemakers, opt for economical paper totes or durable grocery ones. Business people will appreciate leather conference totes, especially if they are sturdy enough to hold a laptop. Then again, custom tote bags distributed at trade shows should sport ID pouches for ease of identification and security.
If you are willing to invest a little extra, go for full-color totes with interesting designs and large storage space. These will be used and appreciated most often, serving your promotional needs with flair. Especially if you get your logo embroidered on custom tote bags, they will survive multiple washes, too.
So, whether you are offering promotional products to customers, prospects, suppliers or trade show visitors, custom mugs and totes serve as affordable, functional and lasting, and most importantly, effective giveaways.

Notice the ammo pouch on the belts? Are those special belts or just things added to the white web belt?
It's called a cartrtidge belt or utility belt.
I don't know where these former marines have been. I won't slam them too hard because most marines don't wear the white cartridge belt.
Ok, here's the scoop. Marines don't salute when they are not covered ( wearing a cap or headgear). They don't salute indoors because they don't wear a cover indoors. Marines such as the Embassy Guards or the marines you see on duty at the White House wear a white catridge belt with their dress blues to signify that they are under arms. Guess what, marines who are under arms are not required to remove their covers indoors. This means they can salute.
It is just a way to simplify the regulations. The Marine Corps wants their marines to be able to salute in the White House or an embassy. So they devised a way for them to do so. They made the belt white so it will look nicer with the dress blue uniform.
Any question Gunny Ermey can't answer, just post it here for me!
OOOOHRAH!
In combat situations, marines are not required to salute when under arms. Usually, the senior marine will salute. In ceremonial or guard situations they are allowed to salute when under arms. It is a way to keep the traditions and to allow marines to honor the President or others.
