Operational life of Gen 1 devices is typically 500-1,000 hours, while Gen 2 offers 2,000 hours, and this figure jumps to 10,000 for Gen 3.

Is there some way I can put my desktop into a low-power state at night without stopping my torrents?
I like to torrent things. The reason I like to torrent things is because things are expensive to buy, and leaving my monster of a desktop running at night is starting to get a little pricey. I don't want to put it to sleep because 90% of my torrenting happens at night. Basically, I want to use as little power as is possible without stopping my torrents.
i have windows 7. i never changed any power settings after i installed it..
if i dont touch the computer for a while it almost turnes off but doesent, and all my torrents are still downloading.
but if you go to your poewr settings in control panel you can adjust all that..
