With summer around the corner and the camping season in full swing, now's the perfect time to think about buying a new camp stove. Basic Camping Stoves
Basic camping stoves should be sturdy, durable and small enough to be easily carried. I have a charcoal barbeque grill but I want to ask if its possible to place it on top of my gas stove range?
You may wonder why I need to place it on top of my gas range, well what I just need is the range hood to minimize the smoke. I live in the condo, and I dont want to do my barbeque at the pit where we are allowed to, which is quite far from my place. Anyone out there have idea if its dangerous or not?
Yes, it's HUGELY dangerous. You are talking about cooking over an open flame with no means of regulating it. Charcoal throws off large quantities of carbon monoxide, which your exhaust fan lacks the capacity to handle. With a gas stove, you can turn off the valve which extinguishes the flame. Natural gas produces very little carbon monoxide. Flare ups from cooking meat can ignite anything in the area. The heat a charcoal grill throws off would at the very least singe the cabinets next to the stove, if not ignite them. Don't do it.....
