Accelerated Awakening - Removing the Resistance That Holds Us Back
Christian Pankhurst - A Rising Star in the Personal Improvement Space
Today I am going to tell you about a rising star in the personal development space, Dr. Christian Pankhurst, and the startling information he is talking about that is brand new. Every once in awhile somebody pops up on the personal development scene with something that just shakes and wakes everybody up and sheds a whole new light on EVERYTHING we thought we knew. Believe me when I say that NOBODY else is talking about this.
That was certainly true of Eckhart Tolle and Christian Pankhurst is the next in line to bring us all to a higher level of understanding of how to maximize our lives. His message is clear, razor-sharp, enlightening, inspiring, passionate and most of all EMPOWERING!
What IS Christian's message?
Every once in awhile a very special teacher comes along who has something new to say - who has found a new piece of the puzzle - something that puts the rocket fuel inside the engine and really helps us to take our lives to the next level. Like I said Christian's message is unique. Not only that but it is a message that has a very powerful and instantaneous effect.
So what is Christian talking about that everybody else has somehow overlooked? Here it is in a nutshell:
There is a neuro-emotional -energetic barrier that is hard wired into our physiology which prevents us from both letting LIFE in and expressing fully our God-given gifts to the world.
It is this invisible but very real barrier which prevents us from living our lives with an open heart and as a result we cannot claim our God-given powers, our magnificence. How can we manifest the life we want and deserve if we aren't letting life in? This defense system developed with good intentions - mostly to protect us from emotional trauma that we experienced in our first few years of life. But the downside is that it prevents us from really LIVING. Christian lovingly calls this defense system "Stuart."
We all have developed sub-conscious strategies to deal our own personal "Stuart" -this is called Lenn's Law.
Here is Lenn's Law in Cristian's own words:
Lenn's Law: "As you approach what it is you really want, you will consciously or unconsciously sabotage your ability to receive it and fully let it in. We shut off from what makes us joyful because it brings up terror."
But, why?
Most of us defend from being happy. We develop defensive structures in childhood to fend off the terror created by inadequate parental bonding that leaves a child feeling disconnected. These defensive structures result in a dulling down or numbing of all of our feelings, our pleasure as well as our pain. Therefore in adulthood, when we experience high degrees of pleasure, success and happiness, these defenses will pop up as feeling itself is dangerous.
Lenn's law explains why lottery winners often lose all their money. It is the voice inside of us that tells us intimacy is painful, success is painful, love is painful.
Nearly everyone alive today who has been raised in a western culture is susceptible to a lifestyle that numbs them from the painful early memory of being disconnected, alone, and afraid. 99% of us are unaware that we are living this way.
The reason 99% of us are unaware of this numbing of our lives is that we have learned unconscious strategies to disconnect us from our disconnection. This is Lenn's Law. We have become addicted to distraction. We have become masters at strategic living and defensive posturing.
Why? Because most of us were raised in families that were emotionally starved. As children, many of us either experienced an emotional desert or an emotional storm. In either case, the lack of sufficient bonding with a primary care giver creates an inner emptiness and disconnection with life that feels so bad, that we spend our lives unconsciously finding ways to fill the bottomless void with distractive, short terms fixes.
You may be wondering if this applies to you as what I am sharing sounds dramatic and only applicable to those with serious problems such as alcoholics, drug abusers, or violent offenders for example. In fact I am talking about your average every day person, who has a relationship, a successful career, and who is educated and intelligent. I'm talking about you and me. Although most of us don't experience the severity of symptoms of an addict, we do, however, experience similar feelings of emptiness and pain when we don't get our ‘fix'.
So what are some of the common ways Lenn's Law expresses itself?
- Well the big one is relationship and the choice to stay in a relationship with the full knowledge that it does not completely satisfy you.
- Another fix is work. Days filled with constant things to do, always being busy and working long hours is often an escape from self. Don't believe me? Take a week off and do nothing and notice if you feel anxious, or if you feel the need to ‘fill your time'. Fear of wasting time, guilt and feelings of low self-esteem are likely to surface.
- Fixes may involve compulsive masturbation, watching pornography, excessive TV/Internet, fantasizing about the future, dwelling on the past, being in the role of ‘teacher' or other non-peer relationships.
- Others include intellectualizing everything, seeing the world only through logic - a need for scientific validation. Restrictive thinking, closed mindedness and an unwillingness to stay open to new ideas.
- Avoiding emotional situations or people, watching violent or disturbing films/images, drinking, sugary and fatty foods.
- Some people will avoid relationships and run away from those who could truly love them, others avoid commitment, they can't hold down a job - always on the move.
- Another fix is travelling constantly moving around, running away from self under the guise of wanting to explore the world.
- Addictive belief systems, a susceptibility to following dogma, either religious or new age, transferring inner authority to someone outside of yourself.
- Being ambiguous, not clear on your purpose, never knowing what you want, not being able to ask for what you want directly - using code or strategic language, being manipulative, being hurtful in order to get a rise out of someone - the fix to feel powerful by making someone else feel small.
- The need to control your external environment.
- The fix to always hoard money, to feel as if there is never enough. Also the opposite is true: the fix of spending money you don't have, and getting in to debt through compulsive spending.
- Demanding sex or needing it every day. The need to ejaculate or have an orgasm.
- The compulsive talker who can't be quiet.
- The fix of being a victim.
- Lenn's Law commonly expresses itself through symptoms in the body, illness, Urinary tract Infections, back pain etc.
- Finding it easier to know what we want for others. This transference of wants IS Lenn's Law.
