How much to Redo a Bathroom?

Right now our bathroom has a vintage clawfoot tub. One that is in really good shape. The only thing is it doesn't properly fit in the bathroom. It sits and an angle and out the side of the bathroom. Our bathroom has no door and we are wanting to give more privacy for guests. We are thinking of selling the clawfoot tub, and replacing it with a normal tub and or shower. Our ceilings in the bathroom are oddly low as well making it hard to get a shower. Any suggestions? How much would this run us?

Jewels, if that is an authentic claw tub and it's in good shape it's worth really good money and I'd hold onto it if I were you. As far as costs on the bathroom work you describe, I'm thinking somewhere between $3500 and $5K just off the top of my head. . . but that's a wild card as I really can't propose a price without seeing this. Now if this is a DIY project you may get it done for around $1,500 to $2,500 if your prudent and buy right.
