I tried to drain it but it's so full of sediment that there is no flow out of the drain and I can't get it to flow. So I've just been replacing the heating elements. They will last about three weeks and then the sulphur will collect on the element and eventually eat a hole right through it and it will trip the breaker or just stop heating. So I do it all over again. I haven't replaced the tank because I'm planning on going to a tankless system but I'm still checking into all of that to see if a tankless electric system will work well with sulphur.
