How do you get hooks for tie backs to fix to a thin wall?
Every time I try to fix tie backs to the walls the wall crumbles and makes a big hole. I drill a hole first and then put a plug in, it works on all walls apart from this one wall.
I am not sure if it is because the wall is thinner or just that it is an outside wall not a room dividing wall.
And yes I am a woman...lol

Before you drill, put a piece of masking tape where you're going make the hole, and start the hole with a nail.

To hang anything that you want to be secure, use butterfly or toggle bolts.

I'm a woman, too, and I do all the work around my house (change electrical outlets and wall switches, hang things on the walls, repair the toilet, etc.). I also used to work on my cars (replaced disk brakes, did oil changes, etc.), and was the first woman to work on photocopiers in Los Angeles for IBM. Don't ever let being a woman stop you from learning to do things for yourself.
