Wall Fountain - Give Your House a Makeover

You can fit wall fountains even on walls made of cinder blocks or metal studs. You need to, however, ensure that you install the heavy wall fountains on sturdy surfaces. Never, attempt hanging a slate wall fountain from rock or plaster, since there are chances of the surface ripping off. You can follow the instructions given below for help with the installation.

Installing Heavy Wall Fountain

The small wall fountains can be fixed single-handedly. But in case you want to install a heavy outdoor wall fountain, you will need helpers. Ideally, install a GFI electrical outlet behind the place where you are going to install the indoor wall fountain. This will ensure that there are no hanging chords, which could otherwise be dangerous, especially if there are children near the fountain. The electrical outlet ought to be somewhere in the middle of the fountain, for convenient installation. If your wall fountain has two or three panels, place the electrical outlet on the rear of the left-most stone, while it faces the wall. In case the fountain has a conventional plug, choose a recessed outlet (set inside the wall), such that the fountain is stuck flat to the wall. If it already has a flat plug, there is no problem.

Installing Small Wall Fountains

It is very easy to install a small wall fountain; you could do it as simply as you would hang a photo frame on the wall. These fountains come with ready-made brackets on their back, which can be simply hung on a nail in the wall. These fountains are mostly preassembled or require very little assembly. Just make sure that it is hung at the right level, for both appeal and safety. Such fountains are most suitable for homes, as they can fit easily into any wall surface.

Basic Tools For Installation

Heavy or small, guaranteed wall fountains come with a detailed information booklet, which you can simply follow to proceed with the installation. Following is the list of some basic tools that you must keep by your side, irrespective of the size of the fountain:

· Philips head screwdriver

· Level

· Hammer

· Stud finder

· Tape measure

· Masking tape

· Pencil

· Cordless drill

All of my three bathroom and outside wall outlet do not have electricity. The rest of the house wall outlet OK?

Can you tell me what wrong with it. Why all three bathrooms wall outlet did not have electriccity?
I did check the circuit breaker, it seems to be OK. I did reset the whole circuit breaker, but still no electricity.

GFI is the problem, had it happen several times at my house, at my mother-in-laws house, hers is in the garage and does all the bathrooms.
Press the trip button on the GFI and then press the reset.

If they do not come back on, replace the GFI. turn off the circuit breaker going to the GFI and unscrew it from the wall. Get a new one an put it in. Test the wires before you touch it, one of those little tester lights work just fine, place it across both wires and if it lights, you turned off the wrong breaker. Could save you a nasty jolt and the are only about $5.00.
